For a long time, we cherished the desire to have a campervan suitable for shorter trips and ready when, in the spur of the moment, we decide to follow the wind on the seashore or a nice weather in the mountains. Here it is: the Weinsberg 600 MQ Carabus on Ford Transit, which is big enough for tall guys and small enough to be maneuverable. Our new traveling companion!

Ford Transit proved to be a better option than Fiat (Peugeot, Citroen) or Mercedes Sprinter. Namely, the internal height is 210 cm! It is not only the only option for someone nearly 2 m tall but also gives a reassuring sense of spaciousness. With only 6m in length, this vehicle is maneuverable enough to go through narrow places, small parking lots, and similar “obstacles”. However, the internal space is incredibly comfortable and packs everything you need on the road.

As for the Ford part, this campervan has a 2,2-litre diesel EcoBlue engine (mild hybrid) with 170 horsepower, automatic transmission, touchscreen in the middle console, and is packed with all driver assistance Ford offers. If you were driving only personal cars until now, you’ll need some time to adjust to the high position and a large vehicle, but after that, it is really easy and joyful to drive it. The fuel consumption after the first 1000 kilometers was 8,7 on average, which is more than satisfying (and could go down after the engine “adjusts itself”).

Weinsberg is a well-known German campervan manufacturer. The quality of the interior materials is excellent, the colors of the wooden parts are pleasing to the eyes, and the plastic parts do not look cheap. There is a lot to praise in this campervan, but we want to emphasize what is important to us.

First, there is a lateral extension on the driver’s side, which is nicely incorporated into the outer design. Its main function is to extend the length of the transversal beth to an incredible 210 centimeters! The beth is 140 centimeters wide, which is more than enough for two people.

Then, there is much more space in the garage under the beth than in other campervans we considered. Partially, this is achieved by reducing the gas bottle to a smaller and narrower 3 liters. However, on the right side, there is still enough space for an 80-liter freshwater tank and a gray water tank. On the left is a place for all electronics, including one extra battery (possibly two if you opt for solar panels on the roof, which is a good idea, especially if you plan to spend some time off-grid).

Another plus is diesel heating, which allows you to reduce the number and size of gas bottles and use the campervan during winter. There is a small chimney on the driver’s side, so you don’t have to do anything manually—just turn on the heating. Very useful and practical.

As mentioned, this campervan is a quality product with many exciting features. You can follow the links below to see more pictures and descriptions from the manufacturer.

Of course, we did make an appropriate individualization. Around the van, there are a few “END7ESS SOULSPORTS” stickers and two LOVE or LIVE stickers (with a foil windsurfer replacing the I or O, however you wish to read it). On the right side is a text from our website: “We breathe and dance with the wind. We walk the hills and green mountains. Our true home is on four wheels.”

So, here it is: End7ess Soulsports Campervan! We are confident this baby will take us far, deep, high, and long.

PS

If you wonder how much money we spend on this, we calculate the prices in Bitcoins. Currently, the price of such a campervan is around 1,2 Bitcoins. We bought that amount a few years ago for 6000 euros—a hell of an investment and a good, affordable price for fulfilling our dream. Bitcoin will go higher, but we don’t care. We felt it was time, and we did it.
