It was a beautiful few days at the beginning of March. The temperature rose from winter-ish 0-5 degrees to spring-ish 15 degrees, which is ideal weather for enjoying the ride by the sea!

Our base was at Falkensteiner camp in Zadar. From there, you can start biking north through small streets and beaches, finishing in Petrčane, a small tourist town between the cities of Zadar and Nin, between the villages of Kožino and Zaton. You can’t go fast, but you can enjoy the scenery, sit on numerous benches by the sea, and breathe in the scent of the sea. That’s precisely what we have done on the first day!

On the second day, we decided to ride to Nin. Supposedly, there should be a nice bike path between the two cities. However, in practice, it is not so. Fifty percent of the distance, the bike path is separated from the main road, but 25% goes through Kožino and Zaton, meaning just a narrow side path. Another 25% is directly on the main road with heavy traffic even off-season. So, don’t expect a relaxed ride. However, Nin is worth visiting due to its culture, history, and amazing beaches. Next time, Nin could be our starting point for bike adventures!
