During our stay at the Porto Sole campsite near Vrsar, we took advantage of the nice March weather for three relatively short but beautiful routes around the area. Two led through the magical Kontija forest, and one along the sea from Vrsar to Poreč.

Day one
A bit cloudy day, but that didn’t stop us from setting off south from the campsite. We drove through the beautiful Kontija forest. It’s a forest path that can be covered with a trekking or MTB bike. The route is a little over 23 kilometers long, and we covered it in an hour and a half. You can download the GPX track on Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/13906278502

Day two
By bike from Vrsar to Poreč, it’s not a problem to get there by foot along the seaside promenade, along well-maintained walking and cycling paths, although in the season, when there are a lot of people, it would be much more complicated than now. Most of the trail is along the sea, but for a few kilometers, you go along the main road, where, in some places, the path is so narrow that you have to drive on the road. However, most of the trail is very pleasant and safe to drive.
There is also a 28-kilometer route, a little more than an hour and a half drive, and the GPX track is on Strava here: https://www.strava.com/activities/13916617895

Day three
Kontija again, this time on a slightly different, circular route. First, it goes through Kontija all the way to the entrance to the Lim Channel (the last few kilometers on a busy local road), back around via Gradina, and then back to Kontija.
Again, it is about an hour and a half drive, 28 kilometers. The GPX track is on Strava here: https://www.strava.com/activities/13934935821
